Our Story

 My Care Match is part of Autism Abilities, a registered NDIS provider established in 2018. 

My Care Match was created in 2025. It has become a personal mission of our founder and CEO Claire to help more people find amazing support workers that are a great match for them as individuals, whatever their support needs, and disability may be. 

"As the parent of an autistic person, it was really shocking to see first hand how difficult it was for us to find genuine, quality support out there. My daughter needed someone she could really relate to and feel safe with, someone that didn't look or feel like a support worker. Sadly time and again this didn't happen. We had people who didn't show up, or who let us down, people who smelt bad, who texted on their phones or took personal calls and chatted with their mates for half an hour when they were supposed to be looking after my daughter, people who clearly, and far too often sadly, were only in it for the money. And we thought, this isn't good enough, we can do better than this..."

And so, determined to raise the standards and help more people find skilled, caring support workers, My Care Match began. 

It is grounded in a deep understanding of the amount of trust involved in having someone support you or your loved one. We know how important quality support truly is - and the impact it can have when it falls short. We know first hand the difference a good support worker can make in a person's life. 

My Care Match support workers are chosen not only for their skills and experience, but for the way they show up. 

Our support workers are positive, friendly and fully present during every shift. Personal use of mobile phones while supporting you is out. Arriving on time and being clean are in. Your support worker will follow through on commitments, communicate respectfully and not use disabiling or offensive language. 

Above all, our support workers are people who genuinely care. They take the time to understand you, build meaningful relationships, and consistently go the extra mile — not because they have to, but because they believe everyone deserves support that feels safe, affirming, and human.
